Gregory King Hoblit is an American film and television director, producer, and editor. He relocated early in life to Northern California, influenced by his father’s career in law enforcement. Hoblit is renowned for directing acclaimed feature films such as Primal Fear, Fallen, Frequency, Hart’s War, Fracture, and Untraceable, often working within crime, legal, and psychological thriller genres.

Hoblit began his career in television, producing and directing landmark dramas like Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Hooperman, and NYPD Blue. He has earned nine Primetime Emmy Awards for directing and producing these influential series, including for pilot episodes that shaped modern television storytelling
