Rich Newey is a multi-hyphenate, award winning, director, writer and producer with over 20 years of experience behind the camera. He's worked in a variety of mediums including Film, Television, Music Videos and Commercials and has a keen sense of visual style. His career began as an editor and brings those skills with him when he directs. TV episodic credits include: BLINDSPOT (NBC), criticallly acclaimed series THE FOSTERS (Freeform), and GOD FRIENDED ME (CBS), among others. TV Movie credits include: WHY CAN'T MY LIFE BE A ROM-COM? (Peacock, Winner Best Director, Leo Awards), GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS ALWAYS (Hallmark), and THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE 2 (Hallmark, Nominated Best TV Movie, GLAAD Awards), among others. In film he directed, edited, and produced the dark comedy KILLING ELEANOR (Winner Best Narrative Feature, Savannah Film Festival, Nominated Emerging Director Award, St. Louis International Film Festival). His latest feature, dramedy ADULT CHILDREN, which he directed as well as produced, will be premiering internationally in 2025. As a writer/director, Rich also has two projects in development. The first is the feature ENTANGLED, a thriller in the vein of "Memento." The second is a 6 part limited series entitled ABOVE GROUND, which chronicles the true story of Rich's grandmother's experience living and surviving in Nazi occupied Poland.
