Further credits include winning the Audience Award from the Chicago International REEL Short Film Festival for Textural Intercourse and Best Student Short Award/Audience Favorite Award for Amateur Dictator from the Austin City Film Festival.

"I'm excited to be back in Port Townsend, to be near the water, using the resources of the Jefferson Art and History Museum and the Northwest Maritime Center to learn more about this area in the 1800s. Being able to picture the place the script is set is so important!" Zach described. His current project is a historic drama set on a tall ship as it winters over a remote bay on the Salish Sea.

Zach is currently based in Los Angeles, CA, but was born and raised in Seattle. He earned his BA in Art at Colorado College and and MFA in film at Columbia University.
