Hello! We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the 2025 Port Townsend Film Festival. Here’s the essential info your visit.
TRAVEL
When Should I Arrive?
We recommend arriving early on Thursday, September 18 as Festival activities begin at 4pm.
Events will wrap up late in the evening on Sunday, September 21.
Where Can I Stay?
Option 1: Free homestay in a donated cottage, apartment, accessory dwelling unit, or room

How Do I Get There?
Flying into Seattle?
Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located 2 ½ hours from Port Townsend.
To take advantage of all Festival activities, it’s recommended to book arrival to SEA landing before 2:00 pm on Thursday 9/18 and depart Monday 9/22 after 1:00 pm.
Ground Transportation Options
PTFF does all we can to keep our town beautiful. Help us stay green by using public transportation or rideshare! Once you’re in Port Townsend, there is frequent bus service, and PTFF has volunteer drivers to help you around town.
If you have accessibility needs that make mobility difficult, please contact guestservices@ptfilm.org to arrange for door to door travel service.
Option 1: Public transportation/ Shuttle
Take the Link Light Rail from SeaTac Airport to either Pioneer Square Station or University Street Station
Walk approximately 10 minutes downhill to the Seattle Ferry terminal, and take the Bainbridge Island Ferry
PTFF provides a complimentary shuttle between Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal and Port Townsend on the following days. Sign up early at guestservices@ptfilm.org to save your seat!
Thursday 9/18 afternoon

Option 2: Car rental share
Rent a car and share the cost with other filmmakers. We can help you make a connection!
To participate, please complete this Interest Form.
You will then be given access to a private document to begin making your own contacts.
PTFF does not endorse, take responsibility, or have any liability for any car rental rideshare pairings that are arranged. Share at your own risk.
Option 3: Rent a car on your own at SeaTac or in nearby Tacoma
Ground transportation outside of these parameters is the responsibility of the Filmmaker.

All Festival-sponsored activities will take place at one of our official venues in walkable, downtown Port Townsend.

When and Where is My Film Screening or My Forum Happening?
If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Onsite page after August 1 for your screening information.
Q&A's follow each screening. If you are in attendance, your presence is required.
After August 1, the 2025 Festival Schedule will be available, listing all films and Forum events.
Where Do I Pick Up My Filmmaker or Presenter Pass?
All filmmakers, forum presenters, and other special guests will pick up their passes at the Gold Lounge:

PASSES & TICKETS
SPECIAL GUESTS, FILMMAKERS, FORUM PRESENTERS, AND JURORS
Each film receives two (2) complimentary Filmmaker (black) Passes.
Special Guests, Forum Presenters, and Jurors each receive one (1) complimentary Presenter or Filmmaker (black) Pass. These are all-access, priority passes that include early access to required ticket reservations for all films and forums, admittance to all festival parties, receptions and the Gold Lounge. Your pass is not transferable and not shareable.
Black Passes will be issued on August 15. If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Travel page before the Aug 15 Guest Services Deadline to add or update pass information.
A ticket reservation is required for all events, even your own! Access to ticket reservations begins August 27.
Additional Filmmaker passes may be purchased for additional team members at a discounted rate of $75 each. Contact us to make purchase arrangements.
REQUEST ADDITIONAL TICKETS
Up to 4 complimentary tickets to each of YOUR film screenings or forums may be requested for additional guests without a pass. Request deadline is September 1.

Do I really need to make ticket reservations?
Yes! Ticket reservations are required to enter all films and forums, including your own.
Your Filmmaker or Presenter (black) Pass allows you to begin reserving tickets on August 27.
An active link to the full festival program will be available Aug 1.
