Hello! We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the 2026 Port Townsend Film Festival. Here’s the essential info your visit. 

TRAVEL

When Should I Arrive?

We recommend arriving in Port Townsend on the afternoon of Thu, Sep 24 as Festival activities
begin at 5pm.

Festival events conclude late in the evening on Sun, Sep 27.

Please note: A live concert event featuring Los Lobos is scheduled for Mon, Sep 28. Tickets for this event will be sold separately and are not included with Festival passes. Guests interested in attending may wish to consider travel plans accordingly. Additional details will be announced as they become available.

Where Can I Stay?

Option 1: Hosted Homestay in a donated cottage, apartment, ADU, or private room

  • Up to 4 nights (Thu Sep 24 – Mon Sep 28)

  • One room per film

  • Placement assigned at PTFF discretion

  • Priority is given to Forum presenters and feature films when placing homestays

  • Request by Aug 15 (limited availability)

How Do I Get There?

Flying into Seattle?

Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located 2 ½ hours from Port Townsend.

To take advantage of all Festival activities, it’s recommended to book arrival to SEA landing before
2:00 PM on Thursday 9/24 and depart Monday 9/28 after 1:00 PM.

Ground Transportation Options to PT

PTFF does all we can to keep our town beautiful. Help us stay green by using public transportation. Once you’re in town, there is frequent bus service at no charge, and PTFF has volunteer drivers to help you around town.

If you have accessibility needs that make mobility difficult, please contact guestservices@ptfilm.org to arrange for door to door travel service.

Option 1: Public Transportation / Shuttle

  • Take the Link Light Rail from SeaTac Airport to either Pioneer Square Station or University Street Station (small fee applies)

  • Walk approximately 10 minutes downhill to the Seattle Ferry terminal, and take the Bainbridge Island Ferry (small fee applies)

  • PTFF provides a complimentary shuttle between Bainbridge Island and Port Townsend on the following days. Sign up early with guestservices@ptfilm.org to save your seat.

Ground transportation outside of these parameters is the responsibility of the guest.

Option 3: Rent a car on your own at SeaTac

How do I get around PT other than walking?

Option 1: Volunteer drivers
‍ ‍○9 AM - 11 PM between in-town accommodations and the Festival Lounge near PTFF venues

Option 2: Public transportation via Jefferson Transit
○Free of charge 7 days a week
○Most useful routes for PTFF guests: 11 Shuttle, 2 Fort Worden, 3 Castle Hill, 4 Upper Sims

Port Townsend has no rideshare options.

PASSES

I am a FILMMAKER screening at PTFF 2026
Each film receives two (2) complimentary all-access Filmmaker Passes -  all-access, priority passes that include access to all films and Forum events, festival parties, and the Festival Lounge. This pass is not transferable and not shareable. Passes will be issued in August before ticket reservations open. If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Travel page before Aug 15 to add or update pass information.

Up to two (2) additional Filmmaker passes may be purchased at a discounted rate of $100 each. Contact us to make purchase arrangements.

I am a FORUM PRESENTER at PTFF 2026

Each presenter receives one (1) complimentary all-access Presenter Pass - all-access, priority pass that includes access to all films and Forum events, festival parties, and the Festival Lounge. This pass is not transferable and not shareable. Passes will be issued in August before ticket reservations open. Request your pass by completing this Form.

I am a SPECIAL GUEST or JUROR at PTFF 2026

Each Special Guest and Juror receives one (1) complimentary all-access Presenter Pass - all-access, priority pass that includes access to all films and Forum events, festival parties, and the Festival Lounge. This pass is not transferable and not shareable. Passes will be issued in August before ticket reservations open. Request your pass by completing this Form.

TICKETS 

Do I really need to reserve tickets?

YES! Tickets are required to enter all films and forum events, including your own. Advanced ticket reservations with your pass are HIGHLY recommended as screenings often “sell out”. Filmmaker Pass and Presenter Pass ticket reservations begin on August 31.

FILMMAKER:

Up to 2 complimentary screening tickets to YOUR forum event may be requested for additional guests without a pass. NOTE: Comp tickets are dependent on space available and cannot be guaranteed.

When and Where is My Film Screening or My Forum Happening?

If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Onsite page after August 1 for your screening details. Q&A's follow each screening. If you are in attendance, your presence is required.

The 2026 Festival Schedule will be available August 1, listing all films and Forum events.
