Herman E. Servatius

Periphery

Herman E. Servatius is a filmmaker creating projects primarily in the New England region in addition to various international collaborations. He enjoys telling unique stories (especially those with a twist), incorporating hidden meanings into his work, and forging bonds with fellow artists during the filmmaking process. While Servatius strives to work on a variety of projects, both narrative and documentary, he is currently focused on independent shorts. His passion for storytelling includes a special fondness for enabling others to present their own narratives – and for finding any opportunity to tell a good joke.

Servatius achieved his Masters in Civic Media from Emerson College. In addition to other media endeavors, such as writing, composing, and digitizing film/analog footage, He enjoys various sporting activities as a viewer, official, and participant. These activities have allowed him to travel the world in pursuit of telling new stories and preserving old history. Currently, Servatius works as an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Worcester State University, teaching courses on Media Writing, Public Speaking, and Digital Storytelling.
