Ward Serrill is the writer and director of The Heart of the Game, released by Miramax to wide critical acclaim as well as The Bowmakers and Dancing with the Dead: Red Pine and the Art of Translation. He has created more than ninety short films including Building One House with Robert Redford and Wild America with Sissy Spacek. Ward’s memoir, To Crack the World Open – Solitude, Alaska, and a Dog Named Woody is published by Girl Friday Books. His inaugural book of poetry, The Underside Color of Green, was published in 2023. His current films include four shorts on intriguing artists and a feature Profound Fools: The Flying Karamazov Brothers and the Art of Juggling.
