Hello! We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the 2024 Port Townsend Film Festival. Here’s the essential info your visit.
TRAVEL
When Should I Arrive?
We recommend arriving early on Thursday, September 19 as Festival activities begin at 4pm.
Events will wrap up late in the evening on Sunday, September 22.
Where Is Everyone Staying?
Accommodations are available for up to 4 nights.
ONE ROOM PER FILM.
Lodging placement is solely at the discretion of the Guest Services team and most are homestay accommodations.
Guests are welcome to book hotel accommodations on their own.
We suggest starting with EnjoyPT.com.
How Do I Get There?
Flying into Seattle?
Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located 2 ½ hours from Port Townsend.
To take advantage of all Festival activities, it’s recommended to book your arrival to SEA landing early in the day on Thursday 9/19 and depart Monday 9/23 after 1:00 pm.
Ground Transportation Options
Car rental is recommended as Port Townsend is a 2 ½ hour drive from SeaTac (SEA) Airport. Our team can help you connect with others wanting to car rental rideshare (see details below).
If public transportation is an option for you, Link Light Rail runs between SeaTac Airport and Pioneer Square Station or University Street Station, near the downtown Seattle-to-Bainbridge Island ferry terminal, both for a small fee. These directions may be useful.
PTFF provides a complimentary shuttle between Bainbridge Island and Port Townsend on the following days. Sign up early to save your seat!
Thursday 9/19 afternoon (air arrival BEFORE 3:00 pm)
Monday 9/23 early morning (air departure AFTER 1:00 pm).
Ground transportation outside of these parameters is the responsibility of the Filmmaker.
How Can I Find A Car Rental Rideshare?
PTFF encourages carpooling when available!
If you’re seeking to rent a car and share the cost with other filmmakers, please complete this Interest Form. You will then be given access to a private document to begin making your own contacts.
Festival organizers do not endorse, take responsibility, or are liable for any car rental rideshare pairings that are arranged.

All Festival-sponsored activities will take place at one of our official venues in walkable, downtown Port Townsend.

When and Where is My Film Screening or My Forum Happening?
If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Onsite page after August 1 for your screening information.
Q&A's follow each screening. If you are in attendance, your presence is required.
The 2024 Festival Schedule lists all films and Forum events.
Where Do I Pick Up My Filmmaker or Presenter Pass?
All filmmakers, forum presenters, and other special guests will pick up their passes at the Filmmakers Lounge.

PASSES & TICKETS
I am a FILMMAKER screening at PTFF 2024
Each film receives two (2) complimentary Filmmaker Passes. These are all-access, priority passes that include admission to all films, festival parties, forums and the Filmmakers Lounge. Your pass is not transferable.
Filmmaker Passes will be issued on August 9. If you have access to your film’s contract pages on Ocean Bluff Productions, visit the Travel page before August to add or update pass information.
Additional Filmmaker passes may be purchased at a discounted rate of $75 each. Contact us to make purchase arrangements.
I am a FORUM PRESENTER at PTFF 2024
Each presenter receives one (1) complimentary pass - all-access, priority pass that includes admission to all films, festival parties, forums and the Filmmakers Lounge.
Passes will be issued on August 9.
I am a SPECIAL GUEST or JUROR at PTFF 2024
Each Special Guest and Juror receives one (1) complimentary pass — all-access, priority pass that includes admission to all films, festival parties, forums and the Filmmakers Lounge.
Passes will be issued on August 9.
REQUEST ADDITIONAL FILMMAKER SCREENING TICKETS
Up to 4 complimentary screening tickets to each of YOUR film screenings may be requested for additional guests without a pass.
Request deadline is September 9; tickets are not guaranteed after August 29. Email Christy Spencer at christy@ptfilm.org with the following information for EACH ticket:

Do I really need to reserve tickets?
Screening tickets are required to enter all films and forums, including your own. It’s highly recommended that this be done online in advance.
Your Filmmaker Pass allows you to begin reserving tickets at 2024 Festival Schedule with your pass on August 29.
