And Now For Something Completely Different…

The Friday Filmmaker Parade is a Port Townsend tradition - wacky, wild, and wonderful all around! Join us as we welcome our nearly 100 filmmakers to the red carpet. Arriving in an assortment of local classic cars courtesy of volunteer drivers from a variety of area car clubs, we cheer on these intrepid artists with a homegrown celebration.

New this year - the Bull Kelp Brigade, featuring the Nudibranch Krewe dancers who will lead the parade and strut their colorful sea-slug stuff to the lively rock interpretations of the Orca-stra. Don't be surprised to see our own J and K Pod Orca enactors joining the fun.

Get your picture taken in the "photo booth" after the parade.

Die-hard PTFF fans will harken back to the days of the “Lawn Chair Marilyns” - another group of wonderful women who made our filmmakers welcome.

Nearby restaurants and street vendors will have picnic meals available for purchase. The Bar Car will have beverages of all kinds.

Loretta and Martha will match your donation!
Now through August.

Loretta Atkins and Martha Trolin

Long-time supporters of the Festival, Loretta Atkins and Martha Trolin, have issued a challenge to all who love this special Port Townsend experience. Donate before the end of August, and they will match your donation up to $5,000!

Their reasons for supporting PTFF are simple and clear, and shared by so many:

"It's our favorite festival of the year. Each time, we leave the experience changed. We learned something new. We understand something more deeply. We feel something more keenly."

From the films themselves, to the filmmakers’ descriptions of their motivations, to the connections built when you walk out of the movie talking about it with the former strangers who sat next to you, we know the experience of PTFF makes a lasting impact.

Won’t you become a part of the community?
