As a Car Parade Support volunteer, you’ll ensure that filmmakers have a seamless and exciting experience during one of the Festival’s most vibrant traditions. Your role will help make the parade a highlight for filmmakers and attendees alike!
What You’ll Do:
Assist filmmakers in filling out index cards before the parade begins.
Communicate with staff to ensure drivers are ready to roll.
Collect cards from filmmakers as they exit their vehicles and guide them to the photographer.

This is a one-time ~3.5-hour shift during the Friday of the Festival. -

As a Festival Lounge Lead, you’ll oversee one of the most vibrant spots at PTFF—where Festival-goers relax, connect, and discover exclusive merchandise. With your leadership, the Lounge will become a cherished part of their festival experience.
What You’ll Do:
Work alongside your fellow volunteer to keep the Lounge running smoothly.
Brew coffee, sell and stock merchandise, and ensure the space stays welcoming and tidy.
Be the point of contact for any needs, coordinating with PTFF staff as needed.

What You’ll Do:
Greet guests and assist them in finding the perfect Festival memento.
Brew coffee, stock merchandise, and keep the Lounge clean and welcoming.

Are you passionate about storytelling and love diving deep into films? As a Film Reviewer, you’ll play a key role in selecting the incredible movies that make PTFF special. This is a perfect opportunity for cinephiles who want to be part of the magic behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do:
Watch and evaluate submitted films from February through April.
Write thoughtful critiques and share your insights during group review meetings with PTFF staff.
Use our online reviewing platform to help shape the Festival’s program.

From behind-the-scenes coordination to ensuring every detail is flawless, you’ll help create a space where creativity thrives.

Supervise fellow volunteers and keep the energy flowing at our lively Forums and Workshops.
Act as the go-to person to ensure every session runs smoothly, from scanning passes to assisting with ticket reservations.

This unique role allows you to connect with creative minds and support the Festival in an incredibly meaningful way.
What You’ll Do:
Offer accommodations such as a cottage, ADU, rental property, or guest suite for the Festival weekend.
Provide a welcoming, comfortable space where filmmakers can relax between Festival events.
Be an ambassador for our community, sharing local insights and recommendations if needed.

What You’ll Do:
Greet pass holders as they arrive and assist them in finding their seats.
Ensure aisles are clear, and everyone has a great view of the big screen.
Support the Venue Lead with attendance counts and venue cleanup between screenings.

Do you enjoy meeting new people and making travel stress-free? As an On-Call Filmmaker Driver, you’ll be the friendly face filmmakers and Festival guests count on to get around town. This role is perfect for those who love great conversation and making others feel welcome.
What You’ll Do:
Use your personal vehicle to transport filmmakers and PTFF guests within Port Townsend.
Be available for morning, afternoon, or evening shifts throughout the Festival weekend.
Provide a smooth and friendly ride, helping guests feel at ease.

Do you enjoy guiding people and being part of the Festival’s buzz? As an Outside Usher, you’ll welcome Festival-goers, help them find their way, and ensure their experience starts on the right note. Your role sets the stage for a seamless and enjoyable event!
What You’ll Do:
Greet pass holders on the street and guide them to their venue when seating begins.
Assist the Venue Lead and other staff once the event is underway.
Keep things running smoothly, rain or shine—ponchos provided for the occasional drizzle!

What You’ll Do:
Assist with setting up and tearing down decorations, food, and drink stations.
Support catering staff and manage food service, ensuring everything looks amazing.
Greet guests, check them in, and distribute drink tickets to kick off the festivities.

What You’ll Do:
Use your own equipment to capture dynamic shots of the Festival’s key moments, including action, portraits, and candid crowd scenes.
Collaborate with the photography team to cover a wide range of events and activities.
Upload your best photos promptly after the Festival for use in PTFF promotions.

This role is perfect for anyone who loves interacting with others and being part of the action.
What You’ll Do:
Greet Festival-goers with a smile as they arrive at venues.
Scan passes, collect paper tickets, and guide guests to their next event.

What You’ll Do:
Assist with setting up tables, signage, and equipment before the Festival kicks off.
Help tear down and organize materials after the Festival concludes.
Work closely with PTFF and TPA staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Do you love driving and making travel a breeze for others? As a Shuttle Driver, you’ll be the first friendly face filmmakers and special guests meet as they arrive for the Festival. Your warm hospitality and dependable driving will ensure a smooth start to their PTFF experience.
What You’ll Do:
Drive filmmakers and guests between Port Townsend, the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal, and SeaTac airport.
Use either your own vehicle or a PTFF-provided van.
Ensure safe and comfortable transportation while engaging in great conversation.

As a Street Team volunteer, you’ll help get the word out about PTFF by distributing posters, rack cards, and other materials that inspire excitement for the Festival. Your efforts will ensure the buzz reaches every corner of Port Townsend and beyond!
What You’ll Do:
Distribute promotional materials to local businesses and community spaces.
Expand the Festival’s reach by taking materials to regional locations if you’re able to travel.
Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for PTFF, sharing your excitement with everyone you meet.

Represent PTFF at events like the Port Townsend Farmers Market, Backyard Movies at the Fort, and Concerts on the Dock.
Chat with event-goers, encourage newsletter sign-ups, and share Festival information.
Help manage fun activities like raffles and answer questions about upcoming films.

From guiding a stellar team of volunteers to creating a welcoming atmosphere for filmgoers, your leadership will make all the difference.
What You’ll Do:
Supervise and support a small team of enthusiastic volunteers.
Coordinate with PTFF staff to keep everything running like clockwork.
