Jane Ballentyne is a screenwriter and filmmaker based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, known for her bold, emotionally resonant, and feral female antiheroes.
Jane’s indie shorts have screened at festivals around the world, while her scripts have gained recognition at top-tier screenplay competitions, including Austin, Atlanta, HollyShorts, LA International, PAGE, Outstanding Screenplays, ScreenCraft and Raindance.
In 2023, Jane achieved distinction for her debut feature script at the International Institute of Modern Letters. Jane is currently writing two other feature films.
