Annika Marks is an award-winning writer and producer. Her first feature, KILLING ELEANOR, premiered at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, where it won Best Narrative Feature. Her follow-up, ADULT CHILDREN, premiered at the Bentonville Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble Cast, followed by its international premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh, where it won Best Independent International Film. Marks was named a 2025 Climate Storytelling Fellow through NRDC’s ReWrite the Future program for her feature THE TIPPING POINT, and her most recent feature, NO MEN ALLOWED, is set up at Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions. On the television side, Marks has worked on dozens of projects for a long list of production companies, studios and streamers, including Lionsgate, Hallmark and Paramount+. She’s currently adapting Renée Carlino’s bestseller SWEAR ON THIS LIFE for Sony Television. Marks began her career as an actor and has countless credits across film, television and theatre, but is probably best known as Monte Porter on Freeform’s THE FOSTERS. A graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre Conservatory in NYC, Marks has participated in a variety of programs, including the Sundance Labs and the Women in Film Mentor Program.
