Esther Chan
Yu & Me
Esther Chan is a queer Chinese-American diector and editor based in Brooklyn, New York. She has dedicated her film career to telling stories that lead to social change. She is currently fighting for reproductive rights as the director of post-production at Planned Parenthood. She co-founded Oof Stories, a video collective that uplifts AAPI stories. Chan is the co-director of Yu & Me, alongside Claudine Cho. Chan's work has premiered at DOC NYC, DisOrient and PBS, and won an award for Most Inspiring Short Documentary at Silicon Valley Asian Pacific FilmFest.
