Spring greetings, everyone! As the seasons shift, PTFF is also moving around some of our communication responsibilities. Leah Manley, our Community Relations Manager, will now be heading up the creation of our newsletter, with rotating contributions from Keith, Christy, and I. As Leah steps fully into her role as our primary outreach coordinator, volunteer recruiter, and patron services manager, you'll be seeing and hearing a lot more from her, complete with signature enthusiasm, kindness, and spot-on organization.

PTFF and Color of Sound have been working hard to curate, organize, prep, and plan. We are so excited to share this three-day celebration with you, an exploration of films by and about Black people in the Pacific Northwest.

PTFF has partnered with Color of Sound to bring the community a “mini-film festival” in March, a three-day celebration and exploration of films by and about Black people in the Pacific Northwest. It’s cold outside, but things are warming up at PTFF. First off – mark your calendars for our Film Pop-up event at Finnriver Farm & Cidery: Saturday, February 1st. What a fun time we’ll have down there. And with fun events, come fun volunteer opportunities…

At PTFF headquarters, we’re still basking in the afterglow of our 25th Annual Port Townsend Film Festival. For the past several years, our last pre-pandemic festival has been our benchmark in terms of success. With your help, this year we surpassed the festival pass sales of 2019 – this is a major achievement for our community!

PTFF’s Virtual Festival begins today! Many of us are still basking in the afterglow of the weekend. We’ve shared many meaningful moments together – inside venues, in the streets, at parties, and over meals. Now we go from downtown Port Townsend… to our personal screens. We had a wonderful time celebrating this year’s award-winning films at the Awards Party this past Saturday night at Vintage. We are pleased to share the winners in each category. In addition to our primary awards, our Jury gave several commendations!
